COSMETIC INJECTABLES

Rachel Sanes, MSN, FNP, is now offering XEOMIN injections for wrinkle reduction, at Cornerstone Primary Healthcare.

Xeomin® (botulinum toxin injections) are near painless injections that can lead to softening of facial lines for a 3-to-6-month period. These localized injections into the muscles causing facial lines will provide selective flaccid paralysis of the muscles involved, in turn, minimizing our facial lines.

Frequent areas treated are frown lines, forehead lines, brow lifts, and crow’s feet. The effects of these botulinum toxin injections are not immediate, and results are expected to be seen starting in 3-7 days. Complete results are seen 10 to 14 days after treatment. It is possible that you could be a non-responder to these injections.

After you receive your botulinum toxin treatment you must stay upright for at least 4 hours, avoid massaging or scratching injection sites, and exercise the treated muscle. Potential side effects and/or complications of botulinum toxin injections can be pain at the injection site, bruising, pressure sensation at the site of the injections, lid ptosis (lid drooping), double vision, numbness at injection site, and brow ptosis (brow drooping).

Receiving these cosmetic injections offers a unique treatment that is relatively low in cost, while giving rapid and marked results. If you are interested in these cosmetic injections, please call our office and request your appointment for a consultation and treatment with Rachel Sanes, FNP.
